Job Description

This individual will be responsible for project management, leading research and analysis into the retirement, investment and insurance strategies of business partners such as banks, consultants, broker dealers, and corporations with defined benefit and defined contribution plans. He/she will also frame these analyses within an overall client business context. 

The successful candidate will also be responsible for identifying areas where Prudential US businesses can add value to a specific client / prospect / financial partner relationship and/or identify market trends. The role involves gathering, understanding, summarizing and analyzing the current Prudential services provided to specific clients in preparation for client meetings and discussions and will also participate in these meetings, as appropriate.  The candidate will also work to resolve any servicing or relationship issues with his or her counterparty at the specific Partner, as may from time to time be required.

Scope of responsibilities:

·         Become a trusted business partner to internal and external clients/partners and to other relationship managers in PCM

·         Prepare, understand and synthesize information into executive corporate summaries and work with US business units to develop key business priorities for each client/partner

·         Have strong working knowledge of each US business unit’s current business, distribution, products and markets (includes Retirement, PGIM, Group Insurance, Annuities and Individual Life Insurance) and have an understanding of each business unit’s current and emerging business priorities and capabilities

·         Have strong working knowledge of and ability to articulate in an executive manner Prudential’s overall business strategy

·         Work collaboratively and efficiently navigate across PCM and the entire Prudential organization

·         Contribute to thought leadership and collateral material development and execution

·         Anticipate needs of Managing Directors and clients (internal and external) through strong working relationships and coordination within the team Qualifications

Qualifications
 
Bachelor's degree required. MBA or relevant designation preferred (e.g., CFA, FSA, ASA, EA)
Minimum of 10 years of work experience in applicable pension investments area (defined benefit and defined contributions) or retail distribution in the  retirement, insurance or investment areas
Excellent project management skills, oral and written communication skills
Working knowledge of individual life insurance and annuities products and distribution
Ability to think strategically and analytically and connect a variety of internal and external inputs into a direction
Ability to interact efficiently with professionals at all levels and functions, including senior management and business sales professionals
Advanced skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint required
